Dahlia is a black 4 year old Connemara filly and her full name is Black Dahlia of Inis Sle.

Sire: Streams Town Mickey
Dam: Lissoughter Girl
Grandsires: Shackleton & Smokey Duncan

Her lineage is rich in Connemara pony royalty and includes : Streamstown Larry, Thunderbolt, Clonkeehan Auratum, Abbeyleix Owen, Loobeen Larry, Dooneen Grey, Mervyn Kingsmill and Smokey Duncan.

Black Dahlia is a stunning Connemara filly who has featured in a few photos on our site, so what can we say?

Firstly, Dahlia has presence and movement to die for. She looks good and she knows it.

And; Dahlia is jet black all over except for a tiny white marking on her back legs.

She has been colour genetic tested and she is Homozygous for Black factor, she carries two copies of the back gene EE.

Dahlia is black based, which makes her a very rare Conemmara filly.

Dahlia also has very good conformation. She was a late Connemara filly foal, which meant she took a little while longer to mature and is currently turned out with other mares and geldings without any problems.

Black Dahlia likes people and seriously enjoys being made a fuss of.
We believe Black Dahlia is something rather special and that this lovely Connemara Filly will go far in the right hands.

Dahlia is a very nice filly, indeed well-handled as I handled her myself from a foal. She was shown in Ireland this summer, was placed 3rd at her 1st ever show and was coming on well at the end of the summer.

    I cannot seem to find any of her, must have been on my phone or an sd card that went walk abouts! Have you any recent ones?
    
    Bianca is a beast now, she has gone so wide her chest would take on any stallions! She will soon be as wide as tall.
